Ever since kicking off in 2017, DC Fintech Week has had a simple objective: democratize information and allow everyone–from nonprofits and technologists to entrepreneurs and regulators–to engage one another, for free, in a meaningful dialogue about fintech and the future of finance.
On each day, on every panel, the conference brings the best and the brightest to Washington DC for discussions spanning the fintech ecosystem: crowdfunding, online lending, cryptocurrencies, cybersecurity, Generative AI, open banking and more. As such, it is one of the few panels open to the public where top officers from across government are able to dialogue collectively with experts across domains, national boundaries, and subject matter.

Since launching in 2017, DC Fintech Week has pursued a clear mission: to democratize access to conversations shaping the future of finance. From nonprofit leaders and technologists to entrepreneurs, academics, and regulators, the event has created a free and open space for diverse voices to engage in meaningful, policy-relevant dialogue.
Now, under the umbrella of The Fintech Foundation, that mission is growing. Finchella builds on the legacy of DC Fintech Week with an expanded format—offering deep-dive sessions, curated venues, global participation, and year-round engagement opportunities. From crowdfunding and crypto to cybersecurity, open banking, and Generative AI, Finchella convenes the best minds across industries, borders, and institutions to tackle the financial challenges and innovations shaping society.
